As a wildlife photographer, I am regularly published in various mediums. On this page I share some of my published work, including honors received in various local and international photographic competitions:


I was recently invited to exhibit my work in London's famed National Geographic Store. The exhibit titled Africa is running from July - August 2010.

I was delighted when my 'waterhole' story featured on the Outdoor Photographer website. The MailOnline World News feature created quite a stir. The story describes that I submerged myself in a waterhole for 3 months...

An article featuring my work appeared on page 3 of the Uk's Independant Newspaper. The article was titled 'Ready for your Close-up' and featured my close-up shots of free ranging lion in Kenya's Rift Valley.

The Getaway Gallery is a monthly competition hosted by the Getaway Magazine based out of Cape Town. The winning images published each month are selected for the final round of annual judging. Being the oldest public photographic competition on the continent, the gallery is celebrating its 21st birthday this year! Over the years, the competition has drawn creative entries from across Africa and this year three of my images placed in the top ten. I am also thrilled to have clinched 1st place and the grand prize for 2009.


This year the Nature's Best portfolio includes 138 images selected from 20 000 entries and 56 different countries. The portfolio is published in a special awards collector's edition of the Nature's Best publication. A selection of these images will be exhibited in the Smithsonian Museum, Washington D.C.

The Nature’s Best Photography Awards are hosted by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. The competition celebrates the beauty and diversity of nature through the art of photography. My image titled 'Maasai Enigma' received honors in this year's Nature's Best competition in the Indigenous Cultures category.

The BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Portfolio 19 is out. This coffee-table book features all the winning and highly commended images from what has become known as the 'most prestigious wildlife competition' in the world. The book showcases the wondrous diversity on our planet.

I am pleased to feature on page 55



My image titled 'Crossing Frenzy' received honors in this years Veolia BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest.  A record 43 000 entries were received this year from no fewer than 94 different countries.

Africa Geographic magazine launched its 'Caught in the Act' photographic segment in Sep 2007 and this image titled 'Creating a Buzz' was chosen to launch the competition. The image uniquely contains four subjects

This image, depicting a lioness with her cubs, was captured in Southern Kenya and appeared in Africa Geographic's 'Caught in the Act' segment (July 2008)

Getaway


The Getaway magazine, published out of Cape Town, is one of the foremost publications on Africa travel showcasing unique imagery from across the continent

'Beautiful Sunbird' appeared in the Getaway Gallery of October 2008.

'Lioness Thirst' was enetered into the Fuji Getaway Awards 2008 and published in the November issue of Getaway Magazine.

A six hour exposure captured in Southern Tanzania and using an elastic band and a stone to hold  my shutter button down (after loosing my cable release).

'Predator Perfect' collected first prize in the Photo Wild Gallery of Africa Wild magazine, Sep 2003

Country Life


The South African based 'Country Life' magazine is a publication focusing predominantly on country living and also holds a monthly photo contest

Young Wildlife Calendar


In 2004 Art Publishers produced a  'Young Wildlife' calendar containing exclusively images of baby animals.
